Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant / Accounts Executive to manage and oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining financial records, and supporting various accounting functions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank statements.
Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and reconciliations.
Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments and receipts.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, policies, and regulations.
Assist with budgeting and financial planning processes.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Identify and resolve discrepancies and issues in financial records and transactions.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Accountant or Accounts Executive, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) or progress towards professional accounting certification.
Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced accounting software.
